Cyan Click Integrated Amplifier and DAC All in One
The Cyan Click is a revolution in product design.
No bigger than the QBD76 but packed full of features it is the first in
the Cyan range. The Click is an integrated amplifier and high quality
DAC all in one box. It includes a complete range of digital and analogue
inputs as well as high quality wireless via Chord's unique advanced
digital Bluetooth system.
Analog sources can be connected via the XLR
balanced input or to the separate RCA phono input. Both can be used at
the same time and are independently switchable. Digital connectivity is
via a BNC coax, optical TOSLink or USB input and all are converted using
a high quality digital to analog converter. Again all of them can be
used and controlled at the same time.
The Cyan Click uses Chord's latest designs in
high frequency power supplies, thus as with all Chord designs, this
small attractive unit packs a big wallop and is more than capable of
driving large, demanding loudspeakers.
The wireless connectivity via Chord's unique
digital Bluetooth system gives the ability for A2DP enabled phones,
digital assistants and personal computers to transmit high quality audio
without the need for cables. This Bluetooth connection uses a very
simple pairing procedure and with a range of up to 100 feet it can be
used anywhere in the home.
The USB port can be connected to a personal
computer and will seamlessly appear as an audio device by the operating
system. Any music played on the computer will be digitally decoded and
then converted to a HiFi quality signal for playback.
The Cyan Click includes Chord's custom designed
higher quality digital Bluetooth receiver that extracts and decrypts the
digital audio information and then sends this directly to the digital to
analog converter along with the other digital inputs. Therefore the
sound quality of this unit is substantially better than other products
using the standard A2DP Bluetooth.
Selection and control of all inputs is via an
easy to use front panel interface or remote control and the large
display can easily be seen across a room. High quality Alps motorised
potentiometers are used to adjust both the volume and balance.
The power supply uses two of the newest
generation ultra high frequency power supplies. These have the ability
to store and couple energy very efficiently and give a much faster
response to power demands than conventional designs.
The Cyan Click delivers 80 watts into 8 ohms and includes Chord's
standard remote.
CPM 2800 Integrated Amplifier and DAC All in One
Stepping up from the Cyan Click, the CPM 2800
offers more inputs, higher power and an AV Bypass capability. The CPM
2800 is built on Chord's CPM 2650 integrated amplifier then adds the
same digital inputs and functionality as the Cyan Click. Please note
this is a class A/B analog amplifier with a DAC and digital inputs, not
a digital amplifier.
The CPM 2800 offers a total of five analog
inputs, two balanced XLR or RCA inputs plus three additional unbalanced
phono RCA inputs. Four digital inputs are offered: Coax BNC, TOSLink
Optical, USB and Bluetooth wireless.
Similar to Chord's CPA 3000 and CPA 5000
Pre-Amplifiers, the CPM 2800 incorporates an AV Bypass input so the CPM
2800 can be used in conjunction with an AV Processor without the need
for a separate amplifier. The CPM 2800 delivers 120 watts into 8 ohms
and includes Chord's standard remote.
