The Heritage SACD player utilizes a transport that is a dedicated SACD drive, not a converted Blu-Ray transport with its compromised audio performance.
The transport is completely isolated from external shocks, synchronized by the advanced Tempo clock, and utilizes advanced error-correction to ensure a bit-perfect data stream.
A massive external power supply filters out DC, galvanically isolates the player from powerline noise and fluctuations, and provides individual precise, transformer-coupled voltages for each processing stage.
Digital processing is controlled by an FPGA, and in an 8-4-4-1 topology unique to Orpheus, eight synchronous DAC chips operating in current yield eight separate data streams, which are then converted in pairs to yield four voltage groups.
The four voltage groups are then filtered in parallel, and summed to provide two channels of analog output. These extreme measures eliminate the possibility of crosstalk, and reduce noise to inaudible, vanishingly low levels.
